TOY MANCHESTER
TERRIERS
SAINT LAZAR
DOG SHOW PHOTOS & BRAGS
Saint Lazar
has been on a roll the past 41 months - 40 new Champions
(measured from December 2004) -
There would be many more, but most of our pups go to discerning companion homes. Photos below, with date
of Championship. Click on photo for larger version. Nobody does it
better! (Note 5/5/08 - More photos coming)

Ch. Saint Lazar's Darkside Jagger (12/10/04)
#1 - The very first time Jagger set foot in a show ring with our good
friend & co-owner, Madonna Lee, Cocoa Beach, FL, he whipped all the
competition for AKC Major points. He then went on to a very prestigious
4th place in the Toy Group, all from the Puppy Class. Congratulations
Madonna for your super handling of this outstanding boy. |

Ch. Saint Lazar's Ajay (12/12/04)
#2 - Pictured at age 6 months, and Ada/Klay boy. He is a typical Saint
Lazar male, beautiful color, great "thumbprints", correct dark eye, and a
very affectionate disposition. He is the Sire of our Champion littermates,
Annie Oakley & Marshall Dillon, both top producers of Champions.
|

Ch. Saint Lazar's Cory Ch San Marino, Ch. Poland
(1/9/05)#3 - Born 7/14/03, a brother to Clarice in
a repeat litter, the guy has the super Saint Lazar disposition. He is a
show "natural", i.e., he loves to show, sets himself up perfectly for the
Judge without one laying a hand on him. He is on loan under a co-ownership
to Ilona Cerna of the Czech Republic. Ilona has taken Cory to a
Championship of San Marino & Poland so far. |

Ch. Saint Lazar's She's Ruthless (3/16/05)
#4 - Born 5/21/04 out of Rocket & Lance, she is very much her mother's
dog, an "alpha bitch", hence the name "Ruthless". An absolutely gorgeous
girl. She is nursing her first litter as this if written. |

Ch. Saint Lazar's Diamond Lil ROM
(4/30/05)#5 - Lis is out of Jade & Lance, two of
our best producers, Lance being Stud Dog of the Year. Lil is one of the
best "movers" in the ring that we have had. Elegant is the word. Lil
defeated a huge entry to gain her Championship. She went Best of Opposite
Sex at the 06 AMTC National Specialty. Her entire litter are AKC
Champions. |

Ch. Saint Lazar's Sir Lancelot (4-30-05)
#6 - Diane Vendittoli, owner, of Montreal, Canada is pictured above
with Lancelot who won Best of Breed 3 days in a row to garner his Canadian
Championship. Lancelot has since gone on to win Best in Shows. He is a
littermate to our Ruthless and a brother to our Indiana Jones, by a repeat
breeding. |

Ch. Saint Lazar's Habibi Sagi (5/9/05)
#7 - Owned by Dr. Roger Travis, Sagi won Best of Variety 4 straight
days in PA taking a major each day to win her AKC Championship. This
beautiful girl is littermate to our Diamond Lil, and the entire litter are
Champions. |

Ch. Saint Lazar's Alexis (5/7/05)
#8 - Judge Holly Somers, owner, of Portland, OR, handled Lexi to
achieve her AKC Championship. A beautiful girl that hopefully will be used
in a carefully "planned breeding". |

Ch. Saint Lazar's Livia (5/22/05)
#9 - This very nice girl is Co-owner and bred with breeder friend
Elizabeth Treese of St. Mary's , GA. Elizabeth gained Livia's Championship
by showing her exclusively in the prestigious Bred by Exhibitor Class. Way
to go Elizabeth & Livia! |

Ch. Saint Lazar's Cherry Pie (6/26/06)#10 - This
fine girl achieved her Championship while being shown by co-owner & long
time friend, Barbara Dillard of Henderson, NC. Cherry's sire is the
great Raisin Pie, and she has his super temperament. Thanks Barb for a
great handling job! |

Ch. Saint Lazar's Lola at Burmack
(7/12/05)#11 - Lola is from an entire litter of
Jade/Lance Champions. She is co-owned by Jim Burrows & Pat Mackesey, who
took her to her Championship. Diamond Lil & Sagi are her littermates. |

Ch. Saint Lazar She's A Rebel (8/26/05)
#12 - Rebel went Best of Winners beating the nation's best Class
Bitches at the AMTC National Specialty weekend 9/19/05 in Olympia, WA.
Owner handled by Wanda Walker exclusively in the Bred by Exhibitor Class
to gain her Championship. |

Ch. Saint Lazar's Indiana Jones (9/25/05)
#13 - The "real" Indy finally decided he liked dog shows, and he did it
with a vengeance. He became a Champion on Charlie's birthday. He
later defeated an entry of 23 TMT's in Ashville, NC including
"professionally handled advertised" dogs. He has produced outstanding pups
in carefully planned litters. |

Ch. Brmck-St.Lzr Eleanor Rigby (9/25/05)
#14 This fine little girl whose mom is an English import, & whose sire
is our Striker, achieved her Championship with Indy on my birthday. She
finished with a "bang" with 4 major wins, the last as Best of Opposite Sex
over 2 Champions. We have "Honey", a keeper from her first litter. |

Ch. Saint Lazar's Regency (2/19/06)
#15 - "Regency" is owned by Rennie Feitz of Albuquerque, NM. He became
a Champion at only 10 months of age. He took a Toy Group 4th placement his
first time in a show ring. Some folks show for years and can't win a Best
of Variety much less take a Group placement. Great job Rennie & Regency! |

Ch. Saint Lazar's A'int She A Peach
(4/9/06)#16 - Owners Tobby & Ginger Jones of
Charlotte, NC handled this beautiful Jillian/Striker girl to her AKC
Championship. Peaches has some nice wins as a "Special". Great job folks! |

Ch. Saint Lazar's Starbuck (4/15/06)
#17 - This nifty Sara/Marshall boy easily achieved his Championship at
9 months of age against very strong competition. He pulled off a Best of
Variety at the AMTC District 2 Specialty against "professionally handed"
dogs. He has sired very nice pups. |

Ch. Saint Lazar's Rosie in Bloom (4/22/06)
#18 - Owner Barbara Munafo of Lawrenceburg, KY is a show novice, but
you would not know it when she handled Rosie easily to her Championship.
This very pretty Clarice/Lance girl has produced her first litter out of
our JERK. Ewing. Great job Barbara! |

Ch. Saint Lazar's Diamond Jim (6/11/06)
#19 - What can I say? His dam is Jade, & his sire is Stud Dog of the
Year, Lance. DJ is compact, obedient, intelligent, affectionate, the
absolute epitome of a totally correct Toy Manchester. He will be going to
the UK in mid 07 for a new adventure.
|

Ch. Saint Lazar's Black Berry (6/24/06)#20 -
This beautiful girl is owned by our longtime friend, Barbara Dillard, who
showed her to her Championship. We don't have a dog with better movement,
coat, color, head, ear size/set, or temperament. Great job again Barbara!! |

Ch. Saint Lazar's Betty Boop (7/8/06)
This very fine Striker/Tara girl gained her Championship in only 8 show
weekends under the superb handling of owner Karen Bristol of Burkburnett,
TX. She was undefeated in the Classes! Karen & husband, Rex, have become
great friends. Thanks a million folks! |

Ch. Saint Lazar Burmack Sabatino (7/15/06)
#22 - I don't think we have ever had a prettier puppy
than Tino. Picked by co-owner Jim Burrows, he easily got his Championship
once his littermate brother, Starbuck, got out of competition with him. |

Ch. Saint Lazar's J.R. Ewing (7/22/06)
#23 - This fine, fine, example of a correct Toy male is a Jade/Ace (Stud
Dog of the Year) dog. He exhibits the best of both in that he has a
perfectly correct coat, great color & markings, fine head and ear set, super
nice temperament, plus he is a proven stud of Champions. We did him an
injustice by interrupting his show career & not achieving his Championship
sooner. |

Ch. Saint Lazar's Peach & Pie (8/18/06)
#24 - Another beautiful gal in the long line of Champions from Saint
Lazar. Regularly beating tough competition, Peaches finished with 4 Majors.
However, once again we can't say enough about the dedication of our long
time friend Barbara Dillard from Henderson, NC. Her Son, Russell, is without
peer when it comes to socializing & training pups. Naturally, this is a
"Striker" girl. |

Ch. Saint Lazar's Legacy At Islay (8/15/06)
#25 - "Jacob", the beautiful littermate brother to Betty Boop, is owned
by Margaret McNab in Canada. The boy tore up the
competition achieving his Championship. He is shown above winning a Toy
Group 2 placement. Saint Lazar is extremely grateful &
proud of Margaret for her outstanding training & handling. |

Ch. Saint Lazar's Pris of Tara (9/24/06)
#26 - The competition gave a big sigh of relief when Pris gained her
Championship. She was virtually undefeated & became a Champion at only 7
months of age. She repeatedly beat highly advertised "professionally
handled" Champions, and my publishing her record was very poorly received.
So be it, as the man said, "if you can't stand the heat, get out of the
kitchen". She is a Tara/Lance girl. |

Ch. Saint Lazar's Black Boy (X-X-X)
#27 - Black Boy is co-owned and shown by friend, Barbara Dillard. I have
mislaid his "vitals", but will soon have this from Barbara. One will notice
that Barb has done quite well in this gallery when it comes to taking good
dogs to a Championship. This is not his photo above, but is "Mystery Boy". |

Ch. Saint Lazar's Morgan Joe (10/22/06)
#28 - Mo Jo was born on Charlie's birthday, 9/25/03, out of Josie and
Morgan Jake. He loafed around the kennel just being loved & petted until
friend Barbara Dillard asked if she could take him and show him. Sure
enough, it didn't take Barb long to knock off some keen competition and take
this fine boy to his Championship. You the girl Barb! |

Ch. Saint Lazar's Annie Oakley (x-x-x)
#29 - Annie is pictured above at age 6 mo. She matured into a beautiful
dog, and is another girl that Barbara Dillard worked her "handling" magic
on. Annie and Ryder produced Penny Lane, who is pictured next in this
gallery. We are looking forward to her producing even more Champs. Thanks
again Barbara, what a true friend! |

Ch. Saint Lazar's Penny Lane (2/3/07)
#30 - Also pictured at 6 mo of age, Penny achieved her Championship by
defeating 10 TMT's, including 4 Champions, three of whom were
"professionally handled". She is a very sweet dog, and we hope she will soon
be producing her first litter. |

Ch. Saint Lazar's Raven Rock (2/10/07)
#31 - What a pretty boy! Raven is owned by Stella Woodard who resides in
KY and she was assisted in the ring by Jeremy & Rachel Mcclister. These
folks have been steadfast in the show ring, and they deserve a hardy
congratulations. |

Ch. Saint Lazar's Zorro
(4/13/07)#32 - An "Indy" and Rebel boy, he had
absolutely no problem getting his Championship. He had produced 3
outstanding litters, and his show career is not over. |

Ch. Saint Lazar's Amethyst
(5/10/07)#33 - A Jade & Alex girl she is the
very best from "planned breeding". It took her only 3 show outings to gain
her Championship. No one can beat her "ring presence".
|

Ch. Saint Lazar's Affinity
(6-17-07)
#34 An Aurora & Marshall Dillon girl, she lives in
Valentigny, France with the Gerard Maurice family. Sold as a pet, she has
excelled in the show ring. |

Littermates Saint Lazar's Zorro (Left) &
Saint Lazar's India Ink, age 8 months, win Best of Winners & Winners Bitch
respectively. Their dad, Ch. Saint Lazar's Indiana Jones dominated the 2005 AMTC
District Specialty by going Best of Variety. This outstanding pair are classic
examples of "planned breeding". Shown by Saint Lazar's owners, Wanda Walker
(center) and Charlie Walker (right).

"Specials". Saint Lazar's Zorro went Best of Winners, and littermate sister,
Saint Lazar's India Ink, went Winner's Bitch. Both are barely eight months old

nice guy, went Best of Opposite Sex both days. On Sunday, Champion Saint Lazar's
Diamond Lil AOM, shown by Jessica Kemp, went Best of Variety, and Saint Lazar's
India Ink went Best of Winners. Thank you LORD for these wonderful dogs!

TERRIER CLUB NATIONAL SPECIALTY 10-6-06 IN LINCOLN, NE.

Champion Saint Lazar's Diamond Lil AOM,
handled impeccably by our friend, Jessica Kemp, won
the highly prestigious Best of Opposite Sex award (to best of Variety) at the
AMTC 2006 National Specialty Show held in Lincoln, NE on Friday, October 6,
2006, by beating sixteen (16) Champion female Toy Manchesters. The entry was
universally acknowledged as being one of the highest quality Toy entries in the
history of the club, and Wanda and I can not thank Jessica enough for her superb
presentation of this outstanding girl.

In addition to Diamond Lil's win, Saint Lazar
won a five (5) point "major" with Saint Lazar's Zorro
(Toy) at only age 6 mo and 8 days from the prestigious Bred By Exhibitor Class.
He is shown above looking at Kelly McClellan.

"Cash" picked up a five point "major" in Lincoln, NE. His tail carriage was
absolutely correct, and he moved extremely well.

Standard Manchester -
Saint Lazar's Ring of Fire - "Cash" won Best of
Variety, from the Puppy Class, both days in Asheville, NC for 2 points each day. Congratulations to our
Co-Owner, Dr. Roger Travis, pictured above, your presentation did him justice!

SPECIAL NOTE: I am so proud
of Wanda. It had not been 4 weeks since she had her right knee replaced, and
here she is above showing "Indy" flawlessly in the Breed & Toy Group competition. She
showed in the Breed ring both days (we were not entered Friday). She is
tough! You can understand why I say "yes maam, and no maam". I love her dearly.

Ch. Saint Lazar's Habibi
Sagi, shown above with owner, Dr. Roger Travis. Sagi won
Best of Variety on Friday & Sunday at AMTC District II Specialty weekend. She is
from a litter of all Champions!

Champions, including our Ch. Saint Lazar's Diamond Lil,
ROM, and Ch. Saint Lazar's Lola at Burmack,
not untypical of Saint Lazar "Planned Breeding". This is the second weekend in a

The beautiful 9 month old girl shown above
is Saint Lazar's Affinity owned by the Gerard
Maurice family in Valentigny, France. We shipped Affinity to Gerard last
December, and he had her in her first show in Colmar, France yesterday, 4-1-06.
As you can see from her trophies, she is a typical Saint Lazar quality girl.
Gerard's email to us is posted below;
Charlie,
Affinity is 9 months old, so we went today at her first show, at Colmar
(Alsace in France near Germany, 100km).
She was the only one ETT.
She was very kind, listening to me, had good looking and walking, i love
her !
From 9 to 12 months it's young class.
She was 1st Excellent in young female class. Then it was the contest of
best of young dogs of the 3rd Group, with another judge and there she
was 3rd (on about 12 dogs of other breeds.)
Judge's commentary :
"9 mois, dentition complete correcte. Joli sujet juvénile. Rein court.
Excellent dessus bien tendu. Ossature correcte. Jolie angulation
arrière. Pied compact. Poitrine un peu courte. Raccordement du ventre un
peu abrupt. Excellente expression éveillée. très bon sternum. Poitrine
bien éclatée. Excellente oreille bien dressée et bien implantée. Très
bonne démarche encore un peu fantaisiste."
It's hard to translate, but i try :
"9 months, set of teeth complete and correct. Pretty dog still
youthfull. Short kidney. Excellent ( top? back?) well tight. Correct
bone structure. Pretty rear angular. Compact foot. Chess a little short.
Join from chess to belly a little abrupt. Excellent awake expression.
Very good sternum. Chess well explode. Excellent well erected and well
implanted ears. Very good walking still a little capricious (youthfull?)"
Back home Affie ate and now she is sleeping, she was exhausted !
We are very happy, for the show results but above all for having
Affinity. She is great and so affectionate, every body loves her.
Some pictures of the day.
Best
Gérard
If I may assist Gerard in the translation,
what the Judge was saying is that Affinity is 9 months old, has the correct
teeth called for in a Manchester Terrier, she has a short loin, excellent top
line, correct bone structure, good rear angulation (this and dentition are a
problem in American TMT's), her chest is a little short (this will "drop" as she
matures), the junction of the chest to stomach is a little abrupt, she has an
alert expression, very good sternum, chest is well expanded. Her ears are
excellent, well set and erect. Her movement is very good, but somewhat "puppyfied"
(as to be expected at this age). I wish we could get some Judges in the U.S.
that are knowledgeable enough to critique a dog in this detail, there are some,
but few and far between. They simply don't get this knowledge when they get
their license at Wal-Mart, as so often seems to be the norm.
Here is Affinity in the ring at her first
show, Colmar, France, 4-1-06

Here is Affinity's Certificate for her nice
win. Wanda and I are really greatful for Gerard sending us these photos and the
information about Affinty's debut.
Merci Gerard!
